Hey! I know, I know it’s been awhile. I haven’t been myself lately. Transparently, I’ve been all
over the place. Entering into 2020 was IT, it was going to be an exciting year. Like many of
you, I’m sure, I was planning to travel more, expand my business and do all the other things
on my 20/20 vision board. But this THING called COVID-19 took over and the WORLD
stopped EVERYTHING. Sadly, it is also taking our loved ones at record numbers.
This has been very tough for me. I have lost four clients to COVID 19; two others were
near death. Each of my clients is family to me, so I cried, prayed, and grieved with them. I
carried love and respect for them all.
Five months into this pandemic as of August; I believed we’d be clear of this thing by now. But
we aren’t. It makes me think of something. On the hills of my Grandmother’s (my twin)
transition one year ago (August 5 ) at 94 years old; I hear the last words she uttered to me – I
LOVE YOU! Oh, how I loved Vernell Gore (smiles). One of the things she would say speaks
to me especially now “we all have to leave here one day because we are not here to stay.”
What that means to me is that we only have one life to live, so do with it as you may. Do so
knowing this is not a rehearsal. We’re not always given a second chance. If you should be
one of those blessed to receive a second or 100 th chance, honor that, respect that, take
advantage of it, and go out with a bang.
It is important to live everyday as if it was your last, so all those things you’ve been putting off;
Life is short, forgive quickly, love truly and deeply, laugh uncontrollably, dance when you want
to and how you want to, and never regret anything that makes you smile. Begin doing what
you want to do – now!
Have that family talk you’ve been meaning to have. DO IT NOW. That account you wanted to
open for the kids, DO IT NOW. That person you’ve been meaning to call because they have
been on your mind, CALL THEM NOW. If you haven’t told someone that you LOVE THEM
today or in a while, DO IT NOW.
Today, I choose to live as one who understands my value in this world~ Unknown
